Joshua Thomas is a photography graduate with Honours from the School of Communication and Creative Industries at Charles Sturt University. His work has gained international recognition, including being named a finalist in the Sony World Photography Awards and exhibiting in Germany and the UK. In Australia, he has exhibited in major photographic prizes at the Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA) and the Hazelhurst Regional Gallery in Sydney.
He was awarded the prestigious Young Regional Artist Scholarship from Create NSW, supporting the development of emerging artists. Joshua has also studied under some of the world’s leading photojournalists through the Foundry Workshop, which featured photographers from National Geographic, The New York Times, TIME, Newsweek, Stern, and other leading international publications. He later continued his studies in London under acclaimed Magnum photographers Stuart Franklin and Chris Steele-Perkins.
